After BOOM Esports were able to claim a swift victory, T1 were hoping for the same in the Southeast Asia Dota Pro Circuit League as they took on Vice Esports.
Although Vice were sitting in one of two possible relegation positions going into the series today, the team – much like many throughout the SEA region, were not to be counted out. However, the task ahead of them today would be a monumental one as they faced T1, who were looking to move up into a possible Wild Card spot with one series left in their SEA DPC League journey after today.
Unfortunately for Vice, things definitely did not get off to a great start as they were completely stomped in the first game of the series. While they were able to find a few kills over the half an hour game, it was nowhere close to making a dent in the T1 lineup, with Souliya “JaCkky” Khoomphetsavong going 15-0-12 on his Monkey King, more kills than Vice were able to rack up over the game. Nothing got better for Vice in the next game either, with JaCkky picking up the Monkey King once again and T1 running rampant. With a net worth lead ticking up at 1000 per minute and constant kills, T1 never allowed Vice even a moment to breath and by a little over 15-minutes, they called GG with a 31-5 scoreline.
For Vice, although they are likely candidates to be relegated, they will have one more shot to prove themselves on February 20th, when they take on BOOM. On the other side of things, T1 now move into third place, while still awaiting their final series against Neon Esports next week and TNC Predator to play tomorrow too. It will be interesting to see which teams make the top three spots in SEA, with everything from second to fifth place being quite close.
