London Esports (LDN) has announced that Alex Harris will join the organisation as part-owner and Head of Marketing.
Harris is a freelance marketing and communications consultant, having worked with esports brands including Esports Insider’s WFH League and KFC Gaming.

Harris previously served as Head of Marketing and Community Manager for Excel Esports, and is credited with helping the organisation grow from a “pair of bedrooms” to a 30-person operation in Twickenham Rugby Stadium. The addition of a new owner and marketing expert comes at a fortuitous time for LDN as it heads into the latest League of Legends and Rainbow Six Siege seasons in the UK.
Alfie Wright, CEO of London Esports, shared excitement over the new addition in a release: “We have a lot planned over the upcoming months and Alex will be vital in a lot of our successes. I believe this shows our intent of growing as an organisation and with Alex’s wealth of experience we are definitely going in the right direction!”

London Esports recently hired a new performance coach ahead of UKLC and will focus on building top teams, the organisation said, adding that it would “enter a new phase of its development” in late 2020 and early 2021. LDN parted ways with its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team this summer and currently fields teams in League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Harris spoke on his new venture: “I’ve always been a Londoner. I’ve lived here my whole life. I cannot wait to get my teeth stuck in and build something of my own with Alfie [Wright]. There are so many huge leaps that we’re preparing to take as an organisation and I just can’t wait to bring something new to the table with London – things that we haven’t seen from any other esports organisation. This really is just the beginning.”
Esports Insider says: Harris’ vast experience with marketing and supporting esports teams comes at a pivotal time for LDN as it shifts focus from CS:GO to its “new phase.” It will be interesting to see what entails!
