Today, Portuguese artificial intelligence and data processing firm Anybrain announced that it has raised a €1M EUR ($1.1M USD) investment from French esports technology fund Trust Esport. Anybrain previously received a seed investment from Hovione Capital, a seed and early-stage fund founded by the shareholders of the international pharmaceutical group Hovione.
Anybrain was founded by a group of experts in artificial intelligence and big data processing from the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal, in 2015. The company develops software solutions for video game studios, which offer player identification, fraud prevention, age control, and fatigue tracking. Its current solutions are compatible with the game development platforms Unreal Engine (Epic Games), Unity (Unity Technologies), Source (Valve), and Cry Engine (Crytek).
Trust Esport’s previously made four investments, its current portfolio companies are Anybrain, BITKRAFT Esports Ventures-backed esports fandom platform Kokyo.gg, online flash sales platform Gamingprive.com, cloud-based live video production and multi-stream platform Easylive.io, and esports virtual arenas EVA.
