BLAST has announced the groups for both the Europe and Americas divisions of the upcoming Spring Showdown. Kicking off on May 31st, the event will feature 10 teams in Europe and eight teams in the Americas.
The event will kick off as a best-of-one round-robin group stage that will see only the bottom team in each group eliminated. The remaining teams will move into the playoffs seeded based on their group stage performance. The playoffs will be run in a single-elimination bracket.
Europe is once again stacked with talent as Group A alone has Astralis, Vitality, Ninjas in Pyjamas, ENCE, and sAw. Things look just as hard in Group B with fnatic, mousesports, Dignitas, and MAD Lions all being more than capable teams. It should be a battle to the end.

Both groups look to be spicy in the Americas with almost every team in the event being capable of an upset, many having done so recently.
