After earlier this month Cyber Legacy were announcing a major roster shake up, keeping only Zaur “Cooman” Shakhmurzaev on the team, the Russian organization is now going to rebuild from scratch as they release their last player.
According to the announcement made by Cyber legacy on their vk.com page, Cooman is freed from any contractual arrangements with the organization, leaving as a free agent. He joined CL at the end of July when he came to the team after nearly three months spent on an inactive status at Virtus.pro. Along with former Natus Vincere players, he managed to qualify Cyber Legacy for OMEGA League but placed just third in the Europe and CIS Divine Division.
Despite having highly talented players on the roster, CL haven’t managed to impress and after a disappointing bottom four finish at ESL One Germany, the organization released four of the players.
“We have a lot of work to do,” said Cyber Legacy on the 4th of November, when they announced the release of nearly the entire roster. While the initial plan seemed to have been rebuilding around Cooman, the situation looks pretty different now, with no player left on the team. It is unclear if Cyber Legacy will continue to run a Dota 2 team for the time being, however, in their announcement regarding Cooman’s free agency, they promise the fans to bring some updates soon.
