Dota 2: B8 Welcomes Excalibur to its Roster

Here is the newest addition to B8.

Despite the fact that the DPC is basically not working right now, there are still a lot of roster changes that are taking place. The one that we’re going to cover here is a little bit more special because it’s a first for B8.

Dendi’s new team was formed just a couple of months ago. However, it seems like the results aren’t as good as everyone wants them to be, which is why Alexandr “pio65” Zalivako is now no longer a part of the team.

What happened?

After the team was created late January this year, it couldn’t really do much. During that time, B8 played in the ESL One LA Major qualifiers, as well as the WePlay! Tug of War: Mad Moon and WeSave! Charity play. However, the team was more of a “filler” in all of then, rather than a real contender.

Hopefully, this change will now turn things around for Dendi and Co. Instead of Zalivako, B8 will welcome Steve “Excalibur” Ye. Many of you might know him from the SEA Dota 2 scene where he’s played for various teams, including the former Team Singularity roster. He has a lot more experience in the pro-Dota 2 scene, so he should be a good fit for this lineup.

Here is B8’s current lineup:

  • Steve “Excalibur” Ye
  • Danil “Dendi” Ishutin
  • Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk
  • Rinat “KingR” Abdullin
  • Nikola “LeBronDota” Popovic

What’s next for the team?

Even though the LA Major was canceled, the organizers of the event decided to host it online. In fact, it begins today and we will be able to watch some of the best teams in the world; one of which is B8.

Apart from that, there is also one more big event on the horizon – WePlay!’s Pushka League. It will begin in around a month from now, so expect more info about it soon.
