Ye “BoBoKa” Zhibiao out of tournament following personal problems.

BoBoKa, who also plays under the tag “Borax”, will miss out on the Singapore Major, set to start on 27 March. Team Aster officially announced the position 4 player would not participate at the tournament due to “personal reasons” on Weibo. Although the announcement is inaccessible now, Aster did confirm BoBoKa would be returning to the roster after the Major was complete.

While Team Aster haven’t revealed any exact reasons for Zhibao’s absence at the event, there are speculations circulating online.

Online rumors offer unconfirmed explanations

A rumor thread on reddit has suggested Zhibao was arrested in relation to the solicitation of a sex worker in Shanghai. If the news is to be believed, then he’ll be detained for 5 days as per the Chinese law.

According to rumors circulating on the Chinese forums, police apparently executed an “ambush” on a specific location; which BoBoka was then caught up in. While various rumors are doing the rounds on Chinese media stating Zhibao was arrested at an apartment, this info still remains unconfirmed.

Team Aster’s assistant coach Cheng “Mad” Han will be filling in for BoBoKa at the Major.

Team Aster is one of the four teams representing the Chinese region at Singapore. Earning a slot alongside Invictus Gaming, Vici Gaming, and PSG.LGD. After finishing the Upper Division of Season 1 in second place, Aster earned a direct ticket to the Group Stage of the Major.
