As most have speculated over the recent weeks, Finn “karrigan” Andersen has officially returned to FaZe Clan. The Danish in-game leader had been linked to a move back to the organization from mousesports ever since it was revealed that Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer would be stepping away from the team.
The organization has been on the hunt for an in-game leader ever since Nikola “NiKo” Kovač left the team for G2. karrigan led the team from 2016 to 2018 in which the roster was able to earn a spot atop the world rankings and hoist the trophy at seven big events.
Things have changed, however, with Håvard “rain” Nygaard being the only remaining player from that lineup. Helvijs “broky” Saukants and Marcelo “coldzera” David joined the lineup in late 2019 while Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken is a fresh member of the roster.
It’s expected that Robert “RobbaN” Dahlström will be rejoining the organization as well to once again take over the head coach role.
The team will make their official five debut at the IEM Katowice 2021 event. The team will have a little extra time having earned a place in the main event and therefore won’t be taking part in the Play-In portion.
