Earlier today it was announced that Marc Polo ‘Raven’ Luis
Fausto would be leaving the Geek Fam roster and just a short time later, Fnatic
confirmed that the carry would be making his return to their roster.
This morning there was surprising news from the Southeast
Asia Dota 2 region, which saw Geek Fam announcing that Raven would no longer be
a part of their roster – even following their amazing performances lately. On
the back of this, many rumours were raised of the players return to Fnatic and just
a short time ago, those rumours were confirmed by Fnatic when they announced
via their Twitter that the player would be making his return.
A short time before the announcement, the Dota 2 Roster page
saw Fnatic removing Nuengnara ‘23savage’Teeramahanon from their roster – which also
gave a massive hint that Raven would be moving back to their roster. Even
though 23savage reached the 11,000 Matchmaking Rating milestone this past week,
it was not enough for him to retain his position on the squad and it will be
interesting to see if he now joins the Geek Fam lineup – who are currently down
to four.
The full Fnatic roster as it stands now is:
- Marc Polo ‘Raven’ Luis Fausto
- Kam ‘Moon’ Boon Seng
- Daryl Koh ‘iceiceice’ Pei Xiang
- Djardel ‘DJ’ Mampusti
- Anucha ‘Jabz’ Jirawong
This roster, on paper, definitely seems like it could be one
of the strongest within the region but unfortunately neither they, nor Geek
Fam, are set to participate in any events in the coming weeks – with ESL One
Thailand being the next possible event for both teams. At time of writing, no
teams have been confirmed for this event, so we will have to wait to see who
Geek Fam decide will replace Raven and if Fnatic’s latest roster is as strong
as they appear.
