Fnatic’s failures continue at Beyond the Summit Pro Series Season 3: SEA

Beyond the Summit Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia has
just seen its third day of Dota 2 action as the teams continue in a round-robin
group stage, but for Fnatic, things have gone from bad to worse as they have
recorded no victories.

Three days ago, the BTS Pro Series Season 3 begun for the SEA
region with 10 teams fighting through a round-robin group stage as they
attempted to reach playoffs and possibly claim their share of the $50,000 prize
pool. Shortly prior to this, we saw Fnatic announce a change in their roster as
Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong departing and Nico “eyyou” Barcelon taking his place. A
few weeks ago, we also saw Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon exiting the squad
as Marc Polo “Raven” Luis Fausto made his triumphant return – and we expected
an unstoppable Fnatic to emerge.

However, an opening day loss to NEW Esports was followed by another two defeats, including a loss to TNC Predator today. The team’s abysmal performance on the back of roster changes could change in time, but currently they are in dire need of a victory or two help them have even the smallest chance of reaching playoffs. The team’s next series will be on Thursday, September 17th, so they will have a few days to collect themselves and maybe manage to take down 032.

On that note, 032 were also in the limelight today when they
took on Among Us, the stack made from former Fnatic and Geek Fam members. For
Among Us, they would be playing in their first series together and, from the
looks of things, they were ready to take the event by storm. The team wasted no
time in destroying 032, setting themselves up for their next series against
Motivate.Trust Gaming tomorrow.

For today, the action at BTS Pro Series Season 3: SEA is
over, but day four of the group stage kicks off again tomorrow but at the time
of writing, the Europe and CIS division are participating in their third day or
action.
