Learn2Esport, the creators of esports and education management platform Gameplan, has announced a partnership with the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC).
As part of the deal, both entities will aim to provide both formal and informal learning opportunities around esports to NECC member schools through Gameplan.

According to the release, Gameplan’s tools will be used by programme directors and esports coaches at NECC member institutions to easily manage esports initiatives.
Rasmus Sandström, Founder of Learn2Esport, commented: “We are proud to have an organisation as respected as NECC highlighting the value of our platform in their community. We are confident coaches will see improvements in their esports programmes by implementing Gameplan, which can only help drive more awareness of the benefits of engaging with esports in an educational setting.”
With Gameplan, esports programmes can be improved through better assessments of player performance; allowing student-athletes to increase their performance.
Gameplan also allows student-athletes to increase their performance through features such as video reviews and self-reflection journals. This way esports coaches can train and manage teams while being able to report on core-learning objectives. Moreover, Gameplan focuses on using esports to foster development skills that ‘help improve academic studies, mental health and soft skills’.

Jacob VanRyn, Commissioner at NECC, added: “We are thrilled to partner with Learn2Esport. I’ve been impressed with the Gameplan platform and am excited for our community to see it first-hand as I think it could potentially be very beneficial to many of the programs that compete in the NECC. We’re excited to work with Rasmus and his team going forward on what we think will be a rewarding long-term partnership.”
Earlier this year, Gameplan also teamed up with XP League to provide its franchisees with a range of educational content through the management platform.
Esports Insider says: Gameplan’s partnership with the NECC is an excellent way to provide young players with educational resources. The NECC has more than 150 colleges and universities throughout North America competing in the conference. Through this long-term collaboration, both teams and coaches will have access to valuable resources that will aid them in their future esports aspirations.
