Julien Benichou has been promoted to the role of director of partnership activations at Santa Monica, California-based Gen.G Esports. Benichou, who was actually promoted in January to the new role, joined the company in January 2020 as an account manager.
The extended role is in Benichou’s wheelhouse; prior to joining the company, he served in several similar roles at esports tournament organizer Super Gaming League, IMG, and William Morris Endeavor.
Gen.G fields multiple teams in North America and Korea including Overwatch League team Seoul Dynasty, and rosters in League of Legends Championship Korea, League of Legends Championship series, PUBG, NBA 2K League, Valorant, Fortnite, and an Overwatch Contenders team.
