GoodGamer Corp. Launches Indian Fantasy Sports and Esports App

Fantasy sports and esports platform Good Gamer Corporation announced the official launch of its GoodGamer Fantasy Gaming App. The tech company is based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and operates via a subsidiary called Good Gamer India Pvt Ltd. based out of Bengaluru, India. The app is described as a “daily fantasy sports and true esports gaming platform.”

The Indian Premier League(IPL) is a big attraction for cricket fans and fantasy sport platforms such as Dream11, Paytm First Games, and GoodGamer have made big pushes to capture the Indian market. While most forms of sports gambling are illegal in India, these products have postured themselves as strategic games. However, they still aren’t available via the Google Play Store for Android devices as they don’t comply with its terms of service.

While fantasy sports has been the selling point for these platforms, they have also diversified into gaming and esports quite frequently. GoodGamer also advertises fantasy betting in titles such as VALORANT, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and Dota 2 on its own platform. The platform has also signed two prominent Indian cricketers as brand ambassadors – Umesh Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav. GoodGamer has also signed an advertising agreement with Disney+Hotstar that will allow it to market the platform to millions of viewers tuning in to tournaments like the IPL. Approximately 18.6M peak concurrent viewers tuned in for the finals of the IPL in 2019. On the esports side of things, the platform is working with Chennai based tournament organizers, Skyesports
