LGD.International announce new roster featuring Black^ and AhJit

The LGD.International project was revitalized in January 2020 with a full Southeast Asia roster. But, despite the great launch event for the new team, the results didn’t come right away.

The first big test for LGD.Int came in the SEA open qualifiers for the ESL One Los Angeles Major where the competition was rather stacked with the likes of Cloud9, back then also playing via SEA, Team Io, Team Oracle and T1. LGD.Int ended up being knocked out by Oracle and since then, the organization looked for a change. At the same time, earlier this month T1 released Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier from their line-up after the team placed just third in the ONE Esports Dota 2 Invitational Jakarta: Indonesia Qualifier and LGD.Int were quick in bringing him aboard.

“I’m at a point in my life now where finding the right situation is the most important thing to me. I truly believe that with the right organization, the right team, and the right opportunity I can be the best player in the world,” said Black^ in a player story for ONE Esports published a few days ago.

At his new team, Black^ will play in the mid lane while the carry role is taken by Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son. This will be AhJit third team swap in the current season. Back in December, in the aftermath of the first Minor and Major tournaments, he was recruited at CDEC Gaming, but about one month later he was presented with a much bigger challenge when he was brought to PSG.LGD Gaming to replace Wang “Ame” Chunyul. Unfortunately, his arrival at PSG.LGD with just a couple of days before the open qualifiers for ESL One Los Angles Major wasn’t going to change the fate for the China juggernaut who was once again defeated in the open brackets. Right after the disastrous qualifier campaign, AhJit was benched and PSG.LGD continued to search for the right formula to bring their team back on track. And while they are now the China Dota2 Professional League champions as Yang “Chalice” Shenyi took the carry role, AhJit will keep representing the LGD banner but as a member of LGD.International.
