Epic Games announced that two soccer stars are joining the Fortnite Icon series: England National Team Captain Harry Kane and two-time German Player of the Year Marco Reus. Both players’ likenesses will be available as separate outfits in-game or as part of a bundle called Kane & Reus Bundle.
In addition, Epic announced the Fortnite UEFA Euro 2020 Cup starting June 16. The Fortnite UEFA Euro 2020 is a two-day online competition open to Europe, North America (East and West), Brazil, Middle East, Asia, and Oceania, with a modest overall prize pool of $50K USD.
The top 1,000 players from Europe, NA East, Na West, and Brazil, and the top 500 from Middle East, Asia, and Oceania will advance to round 2. After the conclusion of round 2, the top players will be awarded a portion of the prize pool. Details on in-game competition and rewards can be found here. In all regions, any player that earns 20 points will get a “Kick it!” in-game cosmetic spray, while earning 10 points will earn players a “Winner’s Cup” in-game cosmetic emoticon.
