A big “good job!” to Moonton as the creator of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has raised PHP 1 million (19,873 USD) throughout their recent 515 celebration. This money will be donated to Save the Children Philippines and their efforts to help combat COVID-19. In total, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s 515 celebration raised $1,447,393,655 across the globe with 48,253,100 people participating in the event.
The money was raised via auctions, games, and winnings. “We would like to thank Moonton, Rumble Royale, and every MLBB gamer as well as their supporters who helped raise funds during the Crazy Legends Charity Homestand,” Ms. Riel Andaluz Sr., Manager of Corp. Partnerships for Save The Children said in an article by ABS-CBN.
“It was overwhelming to see gamers give their best to play but this time for the cause of battling COVID 19. This unprecedented emergency really impacted the lives of everyone, and they need our help. We are happy that Moonton considered to direct its support to help children and families through Save the Children Philippines,” she added.
In addition, 10 Nintendo Switches, Airpods, and 20 Beats Solo were awarded as prizes alongside PHP 300,000 going to the winners of the first-ever Community Hero: City Rival event.
Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, all MLBB events had been canceled, postponed, or moved to online in recent months with the MPL seasons all being played out in the latter. Even with the hiccups in esports, the MLBB community has come up big to help support the cause.
