We’ve seen the worlds best teams claim their crowns throughout their respective regions in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional leagues, but what about across the regions? That prospect is what builds the hype around the recently announced ONE Esports: MPL Invitational.
The top teams from the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Malaysia will be coming together in a 20 team tournament to show fans how the regions stack up against each other. The winning team will take the lion’s share of the $100,000 prize pool and earn some additional respect from their global adversaries.
“The MPL Invitational is an event that can give the opportunity for our teams from different MPL countries to play in a professional setting so as to gauge each region’s level of play against one another,” Moonton Esports managing director Lucas Mao said in a statement.
In almost any esport or sport for that matter, being the domestic champion is an amazing accolade but almost always leaves a bit more to be desired if you can’t claim the same on the international scale. Teams like BREN Esports who captured the Season 6 MPL-PH title are hungry for more and will be looking to capture it at the ONE Esports: MPL Invitational.
However, they aren’t the only champions look to cement themselves against international opponents. m1 World Champions Evos Legends will be in attendance alongside MPL-ID runner-ups Alter Ego, MPL-MY/SG reigning champions Todak, and more.
Full team lists by country of competition:
- Indonesia: Alter Ego, Aurafire, Bigetron, EVOS Legends, Geek Fam ID, Genlix Aerowolf, ONIC Esports, RRQ Hoshi
- Malaysia: Orange Louvre Esports, Todak
- Myanmar: Burmese Ghouls, Ronin Esports
- Philippines: Aura PH, Blacklist International, Bren Esports, Execration, Omega PH Esports, ONIC PH
- Singapore: EVOS SG, Resurgence
While already an exciting event for fans, viewers can expect this event to hold a little something extra for the competitors as well which means we may see things we’ve never seen before out of some of them and that alone should worth the watch. Will you be tuning in?
