Real Luck Group, the owners and operators of esports betting platform Luckbox, has appointed Benn Timbury as Chief Operating Officer.

In his role, Timbury will lean on his past experience scaling igaming businesses and driving both consumer and enterprise partnerships and acquisitions. His most recent role was with the Gibraltar-based Lottoland Group, where he played a key role in driving new strategic initiatives to support the corporation’s growth.

Previously, Timbury was also the founder and CEO of online gaming company LiveLotto. He was responsible for leading company growth, corporate governance and legalistic frameworks. His experience is said to span across emerging technologies, entertainment and igaming sectors.

Real Luck Group CEO Thomas Rosander commented in a release: “I am delighted to welcome Benn to Luckbox at an exciting time for our company.

“We are beginning to scale player acquisition efforts and looking to enter new markets with additional licenses, all of which Benn will play a pivotal role in executing.”

Last year, Real Luck Group announced a partnership with global payment technology firm Nuvei. As a result of the deal, Nuvei will provide payment solutions to improve deposit methods for Luckbox players.

Benn Timbury added: “Luckbox sits perfectly at the convergence between esports, gaming and gambling and the huge potential of this sector is well documented. I am joining a stellar team that blends igaming knowhow with esports authenticity and I am looking forward to playing a key role as we strive to scale our user base and revenues throughout the coming months.”

Esports Insider says: All things considered, Timbury seems a great addition to the Luckbox team. The esports betting platform has made a company-wide executive shuffle over the last year, seeing a new C-suite executive officer, financial officer, customer officer, and head of content all come on board.
