Sam_H joins Neon Esports on a trial basis

Following a top six finish at ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League, Neon Esports are preparing for the next battles by making a roster change.

Nearly two years and over 10000 games later, Rafael “Rappy” Sicat Palo leaves Neon Esports, the team announced on their Facebook page.

“Today we say goodbye to a hero of Neon Esports; Rafael Sicat “Rappy” Palo is departing the team. Since his debut in 2018 Rappy has played over 1000 games for Neon and we certainly would not be where we are today without his skill and experience,” Neon Esports let their fans know.

Rappy joined Neon Esports in September of 2018 and played for them until May this year, when he took a short break. During his time at Neon, the team has constantly grown, up to the point where this past month they placed top four at the BTS Pro Series Season 2: Southeast Asia and top six at the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League. However, with the online-only program for the professional Dota 2 scene seemingly set to go on for a little bit longer, Neon Esports are ready to make any sacrifices in order to progress.

“We are going to take the next few weeks to prepare ourselves for the coming season by trialling some players for 2020/21,” the organization announced following Rappy’s departure and introduced the former TNC Predator offlaner Samson Solomon “Sam_H” Hidalgo joining on a trial basis.

Neon Esports current roster:

  • Rolen Andrei Gabriel “skem” Ong
  • Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer
  • Samson Solomon “Sam_H” Hidalgo
  • Prieme Ejay “PlayHard” Banquil
  • Jaunuel ” Jaunuel ” Arcilla
