Super Girl Gamer Lines Up Sponsors for Esports Event, Adds Valorant to Lineup – The Esports Observer

The long-running Super Girl Gamer Series will return for its 2021 campaign beginning in May, hosting online events across multiple esports including League of Legends, Hearthstone, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This year will also see the addition of Valorant to the lineup of games. Over the course of the competition series, Super Girl Gamer will distribute $100K USD in cash and prizes.

League of Legends, Hearthstone, and Counter-Strike will serve as broadcast partners for the series, which has also secured several partners, many of whom have a long-standing relationship with Super Girl. The sponsor list includes Nissan, Zenni Gaming, GameStop, Space Productions, and the U.S. Marines.

“Nissan and its California Dealers are pleased to continue its long-running sponsorship of the Super Girl Pro Series of gaming, snow and surf events,” Shawn Mirabal, regional vice president, Nissan North America told The Esports Observer. “We value our collaboration with Super Girl and support the platform’s mission to create a safe environment that encourages and empowers women to participate in competitive gaming and to help facilitate a future of equal opportunity within esports and the gaming industry as a whole.”

Zenni is also a returning partner, having worked with Super Girl on a campaign that promoted stopping online harassment and bullying.

“Zenni believes it’s important to diversify its investment in the esports space, whether it be our longer-standing team deals or in new ones like the recently launched Call of Duty League partnership,” said Sean Pate, brand marketing and communications officer for Zenni. “Our engagement with Super Girl Gamer Pro brings great value because we can connect with female gamers to inspire them to participate and engage in a safe and inclusive event. They are incredible competitors.”
