Esports and anime, a match made in heaven.
Today, prominent esports organization Team Liquid announced a new line of apparel. But this isn’t just any run-of-the-mill merch. They’ve collaborated with Naruto Shippuden, among the most popular anime series of all time. With this, TL expands on its branding crossover portfolio, adding on to the previous Marvel collaborations. This line features Team Liquid iconography along with iconic members of the Hidden Leaf Village, like Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi.
And who better to showcase the new apparel than actor/director Dominique “King Vader” Barrett? For those who don’t remember, he’s the creator of the “Hood Naruto” videos on YouTube, the most famous of which being “Hood Naruto pt.3”. Calling back to this classic is an unexpected surprise, but a welcome one for sure!
In the collection, there’s something for everybody. There’s a wide range of clothing, from tee-shirts to hoodies, hats to sweatpants, with the highlights being a denim jacket and parka. The majority of it is between the $35-$100 price range, with the hat being a bit under that. In addition, everything in the collection is an official Naruto Shippuden licensed product and imported. For those interested in more details, check out the Team Liquid merch store to browse the collection for yourself. This is truly something Naruto fans can’t afford to miss!
This is collaboration is another great step forward for Team Liquid. Like 100 Thieves and FaZe Clan, they’re making money moves in the esports apparel market. With such a high-profile partnership, TL is on track to make quite the splash indeed.
