Dota Pro Circuit Regional Leagues entered the final week of matches and some of the regions have already decided their winners and losers of Season 1.
In CIS Upper Division, Virtus.pro and Natus Vincere are the uncontested top two finishers, while No Techies became at the end of last week the first to be relegated. While not everything is settled in neither Upper nor Lower Division, last night Winstrike took down B8 to claim the first seed and promotion in the next season. Unfortunately for B8, the loss comes with elimination from the DPC.
B8 ended their first DPC run with a 1-6 overall series score, the only victory being registered over XactJlepbI in the first week of matches. B8 leaves the competition on the very last spot in the CIS Lower Division with no prize money earned. For the next season, which is slated to begin on April 13th, they will have to take the open qualifiers route and that will mean a spot in the Lower Division once again.
The second season announces to be more exciting for Winstrike who will begin in the Upper Division of CIS Regional Leagues courtesy of their performance in Season 1 and will fight for a spot at the second and final Major ahead of TI10.
Besides the spot in the Upper Division of the next season, Winstrike also earned $17,000 for their run in the current season. One more team will be promoted by the end of this week, and so far, the battle for the second spot in the League is held between PuckChamp and HellRaisers. The former has a 5-1 overall series score so far while HR are just behind them with a 5-2 record. HellRaisers have completed their Season 1 matches, however, PuckChamp have one more series on the schedule and they need to win it in order to keep their second place in the Lower Division.
