Battlefield 6 – the highly anticipated new shooter from DICE – is officially getting revealed next week. Today the @Battlefield Twitter account announced that the next game in the hit FPS series will be revealed on June 9. The Battlefield 6 reveal will take place at 7am pacific time, 10am eastern and 3pm BST.
Announcing the date fans will need to tune into to get the first look at the new COD rival, the @Battlefield Twitter shared a GIF that slowly revealed the date and time of the reveal.
Alongside it the account tweeted: “#Battlefield Reveal June 9”.
The Battlefield 6 reveal is taking place a day before Summer Game Fest begins, and a few days before the returning E3 expo kicks off.
In terms of how fans will be able to tune in to the reveal the @Battlefield Twitter added: “Don’t forget to subscribe http://youtube.com/user/battlefield/?sub_confirmation=1”.
Battlefield 6: EA release teaser for ‘next generation technology’
So it looks like the trailer will be dropping on the Battlefield YouTube next week.
Express.co.uk will update readers if EA ends up posting a countdown to the reveal on YouTube next week.
The confirmation of the Battlefield 6 reveal date comes after DICE previously teased their next Battlefield game offers a “jaw-dropping” experience.
In a blog post online DICE said: “2021 is an exciting time for us here at DICE. Working with more world-class development studios within Electronic Arts, we have our biggest team ever on a Battlefield game for console and PC. Our friends at Criterion and DICE LA are working with us on our shared vision for the game, while the team in Gothenburg is taking technology in the game to the next level. Together, we are creating a jaw-dropping experience for you to enjoy later in 2021.
“We’re in daily playtesting mode right now: polishing, balancing, and making the best possible Battlefield game we can. I can tell you it is a bold step. It has everything we love about Battlefield – and takes all of it to the next level. Epic scale. All-out military warfare. Crazy, unexpected moments. Game-changing destruction. Massive battles, packed with more players and mayhem than ever before. All brought to life with the power of next-gen consoles and PCs.”
EA later went on to confirm that the next Battlefield game will also be available on the PS4 and Xbox One as well as next-gen formats.
