In a statement released on its official blog, Mihoyo confirmed its intentions for the future of Genshin Impact. In-game calendarial events like the Windbloom Festival in Mondstadt or the Moonchase Festival in Liyue will be tethered to real-life dates to make Genshin Impact’s world feel more dynamic. Moreover, Mihoyo has plans to implement version updates every six weeks with the first large-scale event, Unreconciled Stars, scheduled for November 11. The new Dragonspire area is estimated to launch towards the end of December and the Lantern Rite event is being planned for a February 2021 release.
