Wahler Digital has announced that its calming puzzler SiNKR will be heading to Xbox One on April 17, 2020. A very relaxing game that received a PC sequel last year, SiNKR tasks players with solving small, self-contained puzzles by dragging circles and squares with hooks. It’s a little more complicated than it sounds, but still addicting nonetheless.
The game is currently up for pre-order on the Xbox/Windows store. SiNKR will be an “Xbox Play Anywhere” title, so your purchase grants you both the console and PC versions. You can nab it at $3.99 thanks to a 20% launch discount. It will return to the standard $4.99 after two weeks.
SiNKR was a pleasant surprise when I discovered it back in 2017. Coming from seemingly nowhere, it was exactly the type of puzzle experience I was looking for. Teaching mechanics solely through gameplay with no tutorials, SiNKR is a game that breaks language barriers and allows anyone to grasp what it wants from them.
The sequel is better, too. It doesn’t dramatically reinvent the wheel, but some quality-of-life improvements and tougher puzzles add up to a greater whole. If this first one really grabs your attention, SiNKR 2 will also be heading to Xbox One later in 2020.
