Chyna Has Been Confirmed For The WWE 2K22 Roster

The launch of WWE 2K22 is fast-approaching. The first game in the main series of titles from WWE 2K for more than two years after the disaster that was WWE 2K20. A lot hinges on this game, and it's plain to see the studio was well aware of that, hence the cancellation of WWE 2K21 to allow for more than a year's worth of additional development. The details are now coming thick and fast, and WWE 2K22 will be here on March 11, 2022.

Who exactly will make it onto 2K22's roster is slowly being revealed too. Via the WWE Superstars to have been shown in trailers, but also through reveals on social media. Today it has been confirmed that WWE Hall Of Famer Chyna will be a part of the roster. A screenshot of Chyna lifted directly from the game was posted to the late wrestler's Twitter account which is now run by her mom.

“She is in #chyna @WWE @WWEgames we are so happy” the tweet reads. The screenshot also includes Chyna's rating which will be 87. This is the second time Chyna has been included in a WWE game since she passed away in 2016. The former Women's Champion was included in a WWE game for the first time in two decades via 2K's last outing, but only as part of its deluxe edition.

Chyna sadly passed away from an overdose at the age of just 46 six years ago. Since then she has been inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame as a member of D-Generation X. Chyna and WWE had a broken relationship ever since she left more than 20 years ago. Chyna pursued a career in the adult film industry after leaving WWE which resulted in her rarely getting mention on the company's programming. It's also the reason Triple H once gave when asked why Chyna hadn't been inducted into the HoF before she was finally enshrined in 2019, sadly after she had passed.

Chyna was years ahead of her time at the height of her wrestling fame 20 years ago. She would arguably be better suited to today's product, competing alongside and against the likes of Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair. She may have even been brought back in by WWE which has given a number of female wrestlers a second chance since it kicked off what has been dubbed its women's revolution in 2015. At least fans will be able to create those dream matches with Chyna in 2K22.
