Destiny 2's Season of the Risen has been out for eight weeks now, releasing its final set of raid challenges and its second GM of the season. This week, players will need to crush Lucent Lightbearer Ghosts, complete a Vow of the Disciple challenge, and more to earn XP and Bright Dust.
While there are only five challenges added this week, just about all of them will take hours at least to finish. Fortunately, most of these challenges also give huge XP and Bright Dust payouts, making it a little easier to reach Season Rank 100 or finish your Artifact unlocks. Let's go over all of this week's Seasonal Challenges in Destiny 2's Season of the Risen.
Crushed Spirits
Crushed Spirits: Prevent Lucent Hive from resurrecting by crushing their Ghosts
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
You must crush 100 Hive Ghosts for this challenge. That's quite a hefty amount, so we recommend you farm a strike on Savathun's Throne World for this challenge. The Lightblade strike features a sizable chunk of Lucent Hive throughout the first half of the strike. Clear out the strike until your reach the barge section, then restart the strike. Rinse and repeat until you've crushed 100 Ghosts.

"Vow Of The Disciple" Challenge
"Vow of the Disciple" Challenge: Complete a "Vow of the Disciple" raid challenge in Savathun's throne world and acquire a raid Weapon Recipe.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
The second half of this challenge is retroactive.
Vow of the Disciple features four different challenges, one for each encounter. These challenges rotate weekly. You can find the weekly challenge that's active by selecting the raid on your Director and hovering over the active modifiers. You only need to complete one.
The second part of this Seasonal Challenge is extremely grindy and will take five weeks to complete, potentially less if you're lucky. To complete a raid recipe, you must extract Resonance materials from five raid weapons of the same type. The chest after the final boss lets you purchase one Resonance weapon each week on your account, meaning this will take five weeks at most. Bear in mind that all encounter drops have a chance of being Resonance or "red box," so keep your eyes peeled. A hidden final chest can also be activated to earn an additional Resonance weapon each week, although the weapon itself will be random.
Check out our Vow of the Disciple raid guide for more information on this hidden chest and all of this raid's encounters.

Rewards
- 100,000 XP
- 300 Bright Dust
This challenge is retroactive.
This challenge is straightforward, albeit grindy. You must reach 1,560 Power, this season's Power cap. The Artifact does not contribute towards this challenge. Give our Power Leveling guide a look for tips and tricks on how to do this quickly.

Seasonal Calibration
Seasonal Calibration: Calibrate Glaives, Hand Cannons, and Rocket Launchers. Bonus progress awarded for Glaive use and defeating Guardians.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- 150 Bright Dust
Since Glaives aren't in a good spot currently, we recommend that you farm Hand Cannon kills for this challenge. You'll need 180 kills in total. PvP kills grant more progress, but you can simply farm Lost Sectors to get this done quickly. Savathun's Throne World features Lost Sectors with nearly 100 enemies per sector. Grab your favorite Hand Cannon, then run a Lost Sector a couple of times to finish this challenge.
