Diablo 4 fans will be unable to login and play the game during the afternoon of July 18. Blizzard has announced plans to release update 1.1.0 on PS5, PS4, Xbox consoles and PC. The update will be available to download from 6pm BST UK time on July 18. Unfortunately, however, the update will be accompanied by a period of server downtime, which means you won’t be able to play Diablo for three hours. If you want to know when you can log back into Diablo 4, check out the 1.1.0 server downtime schedule below.
According to Blizzard, Diablo 4 will be taken offline for server maintenance at 6pm BST UK time on July 18.
While there’s a chance the game will be back online earlier than expected, the official downtime schedule suggests Diablo 4 will be offline until 9pm BST UK time.
The news was confirmed by Blizzard community manager Adam Fletcher in a post on Twitter, alongside a taste of what fans can expect from the server downtime.
“During this time, players may experience interruptions of service including disconnects,” reads the post.
The good news, however, is that players can download the Season 1 update during the server downtime.
Update 1.1.0 is a massive download, featuring pages and pages of patch notes.
Indeed, with the very first Diablo 4 season launching on July 20, the new update will lay the necessary foundations.
The new update makes a wide variety of gameplay tweaks and bug fixes, as well as various balance changes for each character class.
Fans can also expect lots of new content when Season 1 drops, including a new questline, new boss battles and new gear.
Needless to say, fans can get the most out of the new season by purchasing the optional Premium Battle Pass, which includes lots of exclusive bonus items and rewards.
