Marvel dropped a new trailer for Dr. Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness during the Super Bowl, and MCU fans' minds have been melting ever since. Right off the bat, the only thing anyone could talk about was what appears to be Patrick Stewart's Professor X making a cameo appearance. No confirmation from Marvel on that just yet, but the evidence in the trailer appears to be pretty conclusive.
After getting over the excitement of possibly seeing someone from the X-Men universe in an MCU movie, hardcore fans got to work on hunting out other easter eggs. One of which is what looks like somebody in an Iron Man suit. Rather than the return of Robert Downey Jr, Marvel fans think this marks the debut of Superior Iron Man in the MCU.
There have been rumors for a while that Tom Cruise has been cast in the unannounced role, and the images you can see in the tweet below appear to have finally backed that up. Strange being marched in front of the (hopefully) Xavier-led group by Ultron-ish robots lends itself to the Superior Iron Man theory, as the new take on the iconic hero could well be a member of Professor X's Illuminati.
As if the trailer alone wasn't enough, Marvel has gone ahead and released a new poster for the movie that is also being frantically studied and dissected by fans. It's a long shot, but some are convinced you can see Deadpool in one of the shards of glass. An extreme close up, which you can check out for yourselves below, appears to show a faint image of Deadpool with his finger to his mouth. Not quite as telling as the Superior Iron Man hint, but make of it what you will.
Just two months after the rollercoaster ride that was Spider-Man: No Way Home, Multiverse Of Madness is getting set to drop even more bombshells on MCU fans. The first three phases have been firmly left in the past and there really is no telling what might happen in the future. Exciting times for superhero fans but brace yourselves. Between the movies, TV shows, and overlapping universes, things could be about to get a little hard to follow for casual fans.
