Crucible Knight and Misbegotten Warrior is a duo boss fight in Elden Ring. You encounter the duo in the Redmane Castle Plaza. The fight starts with Misbegotten Warrior fighting you solo, and after losing 50%, does Crucible Knight join.
Strategies
There are two main strategies for this fight:
Melee Strategy
For the melee strategy, it would be best to whittle down one boss's health bar as soon as you can. At the start of the fight, you will face Misbegotten Warrior solo, and the Crucible Knight will appear from the opposite corner of the main boss gate. As the Misbegotten Warrior is near 50% health, try to bring him to the gate side and deal as much damage as you can before the Knight joins.
Both bosses have slow-timed attacks making them easy to dodge. You can wait for the attacks and counter with one or two hits maximum. Do not get greedy for a few extra hits, as that can cause you to take serious damage from the boss's attacks. Your main objective during the duo stage of the fight should be to focus on Misbegotten Warrior by dividing them. Do not take on both of them at the same time. Once the first boss goes down, the Knight should go down quite easily.
Ranged Strategy
For the ranged strategy, all you need to do is to keep your distance while casting your heavy-hitting spells. As long as you are away from the bosses, you can take on them even as a duo. Summoning multiple mob Spirit Ashes like Demi-Human Ashes or Lone Wolf Ashes. While your summons attract both bosses, you can cast a long spell, like Comet Azur or constant Rock Sling. Combined with Hidden Cerulean Tear, which makes your FP consumption zero can be a very good combo.
