Elden Ring is a true test of patience and skill. The challenging RPG is filled with numerous enemies, bosses, and dungeons that can make even the most patient people rage quit. However, two foes stand out in sheer difficulty: Starscourge Radahn and Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
These two (optional) bosses are some of the toughest foes ever faced in a video game. The lore of the game states that the two also fought to a stalemate before your Tarnished enters The Lands Between. So, naturally, people want to know who would come out on top in a duel, and a new mod is ready to give the people what they want.
The YouTube channel Garden of Eyes has uploaded a video of the two Elden Ring enemies going head-to-head in battle. It is an interesting fight considering both bosses have given players trouble, but for vastly different reasons. Starscourge Radahn has the advantage when it comes to size and attack range. His devastating blows can reach just about anywhere on the map, spelling immediate death for players. Meanwhile, Malenia has speed on her side. Her quick attacks can make a player look like swiss cheese in a matter of seconds. Not to mention the fact that each of the blows she lands on you heals her.
The battle between the two takes place over three rounds. The first round is just over a minute long and is as brutal as you would expect between these two. While Radahn’s attacks are vicious, even to Malenia, she is just too quick for the rot-ridden demigod and takes the first point. In the next round, which takes almost two minutes to complete, Malenia is still as quick as ever, but a few consecutive hits by Radahn leave him standing victorious. The final round, clocking in at almost three minutes long, is truly a no-holds brawl between the two, but I won’t spoil the ending for you. Though I will say, it is pretty cathartic to see these two slaughter each other for a change.
This is not the first time that Garden of Eyes has forced two of FromSoftware’s enemies to fight one another. You can find videos of other bosses across the Soulsborne universe duking it out on their channel…if you’re into that sort of thing.
