Fortnite dataminers have found evidence that Tilted Towers is going to be destroyed again, this time thanks to earthquakes.
Beyond being one of the most popular spots in Fortnite history, Tilted Towers is perhaps best known for how many times it's been destroyed. Ever since its introduction in Season 2, Tilted has been taken out by a meteor, destroyed by the cube, and even ruined by a volcano. It's a bit of a running joke for Fortnite fans that Tilted never sticks around too long before Epic decides to destroy it all over again.
This joke looks set to continue with the recently thawed-out Tilted. As reported by PCGamesN, Fortnite News is reporting that several dataminers have found evidence that The Island will soon be hit with earthquakes caused by The Imagined Orders constant digging around the island, and that these earthquakes will result in sinkholes that will remove certain buildings from the map altogether.
The three sinkholes will reportedly be found at the three buildings closest to Tilted Towers, forming a ring around it. Although you might think Tilted Towers has managed to get lucky and avoid being sunk, it's much more likely that the three buildings will continue to sink and then take Tilted Towers out with it.
Although this seems like the obvious option, it's worth noting that this could all be a joke from Epic. It's well aware of how many times Tiled Towers has been taken off the map and could just be making fun of fans expecting it to happen all over again. On the other hand, it could be doing exactly what we expect and slowly working up to destroying Tilted Towers once again.
Although the earthquakes look like they'll be playing a much bigger role sometime in the future, they can actually occasionally be felt while playing. Players have reported instances of random shaking in specific areas of the map ever since the start of this chapter, so it looks like it'l be a main fixture of the next season.
