Fortnite fans are counting down to the release of update 24.20 on PS5, PS4, Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, Android and PC. The second major update of the current season, v24.20 will add new gameplay features and make numerous bug fixes. Unfortunately, however, it will also be accompanied by a period of server downtime, which means you won’t be able to play Fortnite for at least a couple of hours. If you want to know when you can log back into Fortnite, check out the 24.20 server downtime schedule below.
The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, alongside details on when servers will be taken offline for maintenance.
“Prepare your ODM Gear and propel yourself into 24.20 with downtime beginning at 3 AM ET and matchmaking disabled shortly beforehand,” reads a Fortnite tweet.
“Please note that patch sizes for v24.20 will be larger than normal.”
For UK fans, this means that Fortnite will be taken offline in full at 8am BST, while matchmaking will be disabled at 7.30am.
Epic hasn’t revealed exactly when downtime will come to an end, but maintenance typically lasts for around a couple of hours.
This means Fortnite should be back online by 10am BST UK time at the latest.
As for the update itself, Epic will use 24.20 to introduce multiple new Attack on Titan items.
This includes the addition of Attack on Titan’s omni-directional mobility gear, which will enabled players to speedily traverse the island.
Epic Games will also release the Mikasa and Levi Attack on Titan skins, as well as the Eren Jaeger Battle Pass skin. The Eren Jaeger Battle Pass skin will be accompanied by various challenges.
Elsewhere, Epic Games will make numerous bug fixes and gameplay tweaks, and will add new augments and item shop skins.
Remember to check back on April 11 for a full list of patch notes and changes.
