Fortnite Season 4 getting Spider-Man and Carnage claim dataminers

Fortnite’s Marvel-themed season is noticeably missing Spider-Man, but dataminers believe he’ll be joining the game later down the line.

Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 4 began yesterday and brought with it a bunch of Marvel-themed content.

The announcement trailer has already confirmed unlockable skins for several beloved Marvel heroes and villains, like Wolverine, Iron Man, and Dr Doom, but a certain web-swinging, wall-crawler is noticeably absent.

With how much Marvel content has been included since Fortnite first released, Spider-Man’s inclusion feels more like an inevitability than a possibility. It’s not a matter of if, but when.

According to dataminers, it could finally happen this very season. Reputable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, who correctly predicted Thor and Wolverine’s inclusion, claims that an in-game achievement has a Spider-Man logo, which can only mean that the web-head will appear in some capacity.

HYPEX also believes to have found evidence of a new point of interest that will be added later called PantherMonument, which could suggest that Black Panther is coming too.

In other news, the new computer-controlled Stark robot enemies have already been removed from Fortnite due to a technical issue.

For the time being, they’re only disabled in competitive modes, meaning players looking to climb the ranks won’t be able to use the Stark Industries Energy Rifle, which could only be acquired by defeating one of the robots.

Fortnite is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
