Fortnite developer Epic Games is about to release a new update for Chapter 4, Season 2. Fortnite update 24.10 has a March 29 release date on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Android. Needless to say, as a numbered update, v24.10 will be accompanied by an extended period of server downtime. The game will be taken offline in full at 9am BST UK time, although matchmaking will be disabled shortly beforehand.
The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, alongside a preview about what to expect.
“What do you call an egg who has visited all of the POI’s? An eggs-plorer,” reads an Epic tweet.
“Get ready to Spring into v24.10 with downtime beginning at 4 AM ET and matchmaking disabled shortly beforehand.”
Based on the tweet, Epic Games will use the update to launch the Easter event in Battle Royale.
This will likely include an egg launcher weapon, some kind of egg hunt, Easter challenges and bonus cosmetics.
According to insiders like Shiina, fans can also expect new augments, cosmetics and the release of some kind of smart pistol weapon.
Express Online will keep this article updated with all the new features once the update goes live. In the meantime, you can check out the early update 24.10 patch notes below…
