Genshin Impact: Best Character Cards in Genius Invokation TCG

Genshin Impact's in-game card trading game, Genius Invokation, allows you to explore how your favorite characters are played with in card form. You are given the opportunity to choose from a range of the main game's currently playable characters by inviting your desired character to a match. If you can defeat them in a card battle, even if it takes a few attempts, you'll receive their character card.

The downside is that initially only have three invites to use. You can buy more by earning lucky coins every time you beat a player in your world, but this takes a while, so it's wise to prioritize the characters you'd want to get first. You'll want to invest in damage dealers and supports that will get you through the toughest matches. These character cards are the best ones to play in the game, so don't let them stay on standby for too long.

10 Diluc

Diluc makes a comeback in the TCG, and is a great pyro damage dealer who you don't even have to fight for. His burst is notorious for dealing huge damage numbers, which could effectively wipe your opponent's card out. His normal attacks are also infused with pyro after his burst for two rounds, which can result in other characters in your opponent's team taking huge hits.

Even his skill alone is capable of dealing large damage numbers through pyro-related reactions. Even as you acquire other cards later in the game, you'll find that Diluc is still a great pick for your team.

9 Xiangling

Xiangling has been a reliable staple of the game, and she's going to continue that here. Summoning Guoba applies pyro to the opponent's active character by the end of the round, which deals two damage for two rounds. Her pyronado inflicts two pyro damage on its own, which is transferrable to other character cards. Her pyronado is activated once the active character uses their skill and burst, which creates a pyro-infused reaction.

She's a great pyro-support card, and a great option if you're the type of player who's fond of summons and a quick swap play style. She will be able to provide the pyro application you need, even if she's not the active character, which is an exclusive trait to her kit.

8 Bennett

Bennett is a great support card because he functions the same way he does in actual combat. He can heal your active character through his burst, right after they unleash an attack against your opponent. He can also buff your team through pyro resonance, and buff your active character through his burst.

Bennett can be placed in almost any team, and he's essential in certain teams. Either way, you can never go wrong with Bennett, unless you're avoiding pyro reactions.

7 Yoimiya

Yoimiya isn't burst-reliant and you can infuse her normal attacks with pyro through her skill. The advantage of her kit is that she can use less pyro dice to attack with pyro skills, making it easier to trigger other elemental reactions.

She's much like Diluc with her normal attack and elemental infusion, except it doesn't take as long for her to burst to infuse her attacks with pyro. Her pyro-infused, single target damage shines through in TCG, especially if she's paired up with the right characters. Just note that pressing her skill doesn't immediately launch an attack against your opponent, it just infuses pyro to your normal attack.

6 Ganyu

Ganyu's charged shot and ability to damage surrounding characters is retained here. Although she doesn't inflict cryo on the other targets and deals physical damage instead to the other cards, her target receives cryo damage with additional piercing damage. Her burst casts a summon that has two usages every end round, which deals cryo damage to the opponent's active character and piercing damage to all the opponent's characters.

The best part about Ganyu's card is that her burst only requires two energy, which means it will be easier for you to keep her burst up for more frequent use.

5 Ayaka

When you first switch to her, Ayaka's normal attacks are infused with cryo. This makes her easily apply cryo to the opponent's active character. This means that Ayaka's burst deals cryo damage on its initial application, and applies cryo to the opponent's active character for the next two end rounds.

Ayaka's perfect for freeze-related teams, as well as inducing melt reactions given her ability to consistently apply her element. It will take time for her to gain her burst, as it does cost three energy in comparison to Ganyu who only needs two energy. But even so, her burst can definitely erase a card and lasts for two end rounds.

4 Xingqiu

For consistent hydro application, Xingqiu is an amazing choice that will help you trigger vaporize, electro-charge, freeze, and bloom. Ideally, it's good to pair him with characters whose elements are infused with their normal attacks since his rain swords only activate once your active character hits with their normal attack. He's also a flexible pick, and you can't go wrong with putting him on a team that needs a damage boost from hydro application.

Xingqiu adds damage to your team through hydro-related elemental reactions, and works well even in freeze teams at TCG. If you don't have hydro characters unlocked at TCG yet, Xingqiu should be your priority.

3 Collei

Collei might not have the Terrorshroom's painful attacks, but her ability to apply dendro through a summon makes her a consistent dendro applicator, even if she's not your active card. Her skill applies dendro directly to the active character in the opposing team, and her burst does the same with the addition of activating a summon that lasts for two end rounds.

She basically makes it rain dendro, and she's perfect for teams that crave dendro reactions for higher damage numbers. Her normal attacks might not beat that of the Jadeplume Terrorshroom's, but she excels over the chicken when it comes to elemental application and team compatibility.

2 Maguu Kenki

This character card is basically a cheat, since it wields two elements in one card. It can summon a cryo attack, or summon an anemo attack. Both of the aforementioned summons have two usages. Its burst deals four anemo damage on its own, which is still pretty painful to receive even if your opponent's card doesn't have any element on it.

If that's not great, the Maguu Kenki's ability to wield two elements also mean that an additional cryo character or anemo character can result in elemental resonance. Cryo resonance deals additional damage, while anemo resonance creates additional omni dice.

1 Cyno

Electro reactions are tricky to deal with here in TCG, as they either force your opponents to swap characters when overload is applied or make all of their character cards take damage. The TCG master's card is sure to be here, and his kit works like a charm. Your normal attacks are converted to electro damage with your passive skill.

Compared to other electro cards, he only needs two energy to get his burst up which is a great advantage to have. With the right team, Cyno can deal an ample amount of damage and trigger various electro related reactions while spending less electro dice.
