Godzilla vs. Kong Reveals The Precise Size For Both Kaiju

Adam Wingard`s upcoming blockbuster Godzilla vs. Kong reveals the exact size for both titular kaijus on the new posters. Fans of the iconic monsters now know for sure which creature is taller after all.

Godzilla vs. Kong is debuting in cinemas and streaming in only a few weeks. The motion picture will be the next chapter for Warner Bros’ MonsterVerse, which started back in 2014. Godzilla vs. Kong is the second film of the series involving King Kong, and the third one to feature Godzilla. Director Adam Wingard previously promised that fans of the monsters would not be disappointed, as the film will deliver the true winner in this clash.

While it is still unknown who will win in Godzilla vs. Kong, the new international posters for the movie reveal one important detail for the titular creatures fans previously wondered about. According to the Monarch database, Kong stands at 102 meters (335 feet), while Godzilla’s full height is even bigger with 120 meters (394 feet). What is most interesting here, is how much Kong has grown up since his first appearance in Kong: Skull Island. Giant monkey’s height back then stood at only 32 meters (104 Feet). This means King Kong`s size tripled in 47 years, which passed from 1973, when the events of Kong: Skull Island took place, to 2019, when Godzilla: King of the Monsters happened.

People are still guessing about the plot twists in Godzilla vs. Kong, but for now it is pretty obvious that Mechagodzilla will appear on the screen at some point. This turnaround may force Godzilla and Kong to temporarily unite their efforts in the shared battle to show humanity who the real bosses are.

Godzilla vs. Kong premiers in Europe on March 24, in the US on March 31, and will be available on-demand for HBO Max subscribers simultaneously. The movie will run for 113 minutes, making it the shortest in the MonsterVerse thus far.

Godzilla vs. Kong`s director Adam Wingard already announced his next project and it is a very exciting one. According to Wingard, he’s working on a straight follow-up for the iconic action movie Face/Off. But it is unclear at the moment if John Travolta and Nicolas Cage will be involved in the direct sequel, or will it include a completely new cast.
