A promotional pamphlet for Gran Turismo 7 confirms a number of details about the game, including how many cars it has.
Following its release date trailer from the September PlayStation Showcase, Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of the Gran Turismo series, described Gran Turismo 7 as a ‘car collecting game, even more so than the GT series of the past.’
Turns out he was not exaggerating, as the game is expected to feature more than 420 cars when it launches in 2022. The previous game, Gran Turismo Sport, had 324 cars in total, with just under half that being post-launch DLC, so that’s quite the jump in content.
The line-up includes over 300 post-2011 vehicles, as well as a number of classic cars from the 80s and 90s that have that since been discontinued.
This comes from a Japanese pamphlet, the details of which were posted on Twitter and later translated by one PettyWingman on the GT Planet forums.
The pamphlet also mentions that there will be 90+ racetracks, dwarfing Gran Turismo Sport’s original 29 tracks, although subsequent updates bumped the number up to 82.
