A Plague Tale Requiem is an action-adventure survival horror with stealth and puzzle elements. It's the sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence and picks up the story of siblings Amicia and Hugo De Rune around six months after the end of the first game. Once more you face soldiers, and hordes of rats carrying the black plague, but this time with an expanded arsenal of weapons and alchemical tools, as well as your stealth and cunning, to avoid or defeat enemies as you seek a cure for Hugo's blood disease.
The story plays out over several chapters of varying lengths and there are two (slightly) different endings. We take a look at how long it will take you to play through A Plague Tale Requiem.
How Long Does It Take To Complete A Plague Tale Requiem?
According to How Long To Beat, A Plague Tale Requiem will take around 17 hours if you just complete the main story. Along the way, you are forced into a largely linear play style that is split into chapters. The puzzles have a singular solution and there are no side quests to get distracted by.
However, some locations are more open and contain secrets such as loot chests, and optional activities to partake in, which can increase the time it takes to complete the game to around 19.5 hours.
There are also two endings. However, the difference is minimal, and you can check out the other ending by replaying the short final chapter.
If you watch until the end of the credits there is also a final "secret ending" cut scene.
