If You Can’t Get A PS5, Try This Lego Version Of God Of War Ragnarok

Shocking no one, last month’s God of War Ragnarok became one of the biggest games of the year. However, while the PS5 is finally more readily available, its hefty price tag is still hindering many from experiencing Santa Monica Studio’s PlayStation exclusive. Luckily, you no longer need the console to experience Kratos and Artreus’ harrowing journey…so long as you don’t mind it done in Lego form.

Youtuber and video game maker ThrillDaWill has released a free version of Lego God of War Ragnarok. That’s right, you can now experience all that the Realms have to offer in blocky 3D brick format. The game is a surprisingly accurate representation of the sequel, complete with frozen landscapes, a Lego Atreus to annoy you, and an axe that boomerangs back to Kratos. It’s perfect for those who want to experience Ragnarok without breaking the bank.

ThrillDaWill explains to PCGames that the idea for a Lego Ragnarok came from simply wanting to play the game and not being able to afford it; “Everyone’s been playing God of War, and it looks like a ton of fun… Only problem is I’m broke and cannot afford a PS5, so we’re just going to have to use Lego models and my failing GPU.”

This isn’t the first time that ThrillDaWill has used his powers to “Lego-fy” an RPG. Earlier this year, he turned Fallout into a brick-bashing game. He even recreated the entire Star Wars: Skywalker Saga films into Lego format for some reason. While these may not be necessarily useful creations, they sure are fun!

So, while the Lego version may not have those realistic cut-scenes or match the heart pounding action of the PS5 version, it does maintain the fun of the game. Plus, it lets players repeatedly force Lego Kratos to shout his now-iconic line of “Boy” anytime they like. Lego God of War Ragnarok is available now for free at ThrillDaWill’s Itch page.
