When it comes to iconic video game weapons, you'd be hard pressed to find one as unique or memorable as Sora's Keyblade. The simple and classic design of the Kingdom Key makes it an all-timer for many Kingdom Hearts fans, but those who have played the series will know that its chock full of weird and wonderful Keyblade designs.
That being said, there're definitely some stinkers out there too, and fans have been sharing their favorites and least favorite Keyblade designs over on Reddit. The question was put to the Kingdom Hearts subreddit and led to a variety of different Keyblade designs being put forward, each one with their own merits or annoyances.
There are some that get a fair few mentions though, including the Jungle King which a fair few people point out that it's literally just a stick. There's a couple of fans out there not too fond of the Monochrome that players receive for completing the Timeless River world in Kigdom Hearts 2, pointing to its rather drab design compared to the rest of the game's Keyblade offerings.
As you probably might have expected, some of the more powerful and meaningful Keyblade designs regularly feature in favorites lists. Oblivion, Oathkeeper, Lionhheart, and Ultima Weapon are mentioned by quite a few fans, but its easy to see why when their designs are pretty memorable and they've appeared in mutliple games across the series. Oathkeeper and Way to the Dawn are especially understandable given their connections to both Kairi and Riku respectively.
Hopefully, Kingdom Hearts 4 will be filled with nothing but top tier Keyblade designs. Until then, we have Missing Link to get through, and fans already think they know how the game's protagonist fits into Kingdom Hearts' overarching lore. While the majority of you scratch your heads and try to legitimately figure it out, I'm just hoping hope he hasn't somehow wound up in Sora's heart.
