Two years after their official debut at the 2018 World Championship, League of Legends virtual pop group, K/DA is now set to make their official comeback. K/DA instantly became a sensation with their debut single “POP/STARS” reaching the top of iTunes (#1 K-Pop Chart, #2 Pop Chart), Billboard (#1 World Digital), 170 million streams and more than 340 million views on YouTube.
Following a week of teasing, K/DA have released their new song “THE BADDEST” with a lyric music video revealing new pre-release outfits. This time around, League of Legends Champions Ahri, Kai’Sa, Evelynn and Akali are once again voiced by Soyeon and Miyeon of K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE, alongside new collaborators, Bea Miller and Wolftyla. The release of “THE BADDEST” also comes with the announcement of K/DA’s upcoming EP.
Building on the global embrace of the pop sound established by Soyeon and Miyeon from (G)I-DLE, Madison Beer and Jaira Burns, the EP will expand the music identity of Ahri, Kai’Sa, Evelynn and Akali. The long list of collaborators that will voice the girls in the pop group on the EP coming from Riot Games Music label is set to be revealed in the coming weeks. The upcoming EP is just the latest in Riot Games Music’s aim to push the traditional boundaries of music with musically driven experiences with acts like DJ Sona, True Damage and Pentakill.
