Lego Might Have Just Leaked Who The New Black Panther Is

Several new Lego Black Panther sets might have just leaked who is taking up the mantle after T'Challa.

The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer debuted at San Diego Comic-Con last week and, despite many expecting to find out who the new Black Panther was, it left things purposefully ambiguous, only showing one shot at the end of someone in costume. Fans have since been speculating who could be in the suit. Is it Okoye? Shuri? Killmonger, somehow?

Well, Lego might have just accidentally ruined all of that speculation and confirmed who's going to be taking up the mantle through several new Lego sets that will debut alongside Wakanda Forever. Consider this your spoiler warning, if you don't want to know who the next Black Panther likely is, turn away now.

As shared by Twitter account MCU_Direct, Lego revealed two new sets for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and two of them feature Shuri, who is wearing a Black Panther suit of her own that seems to have been kitted out with some of her wrist blasters. The suit itself is much more purple than T'Challa's, and also has hints of gold that callback to Killmonger's suit, which was also designed by Shuri.

Interestingly, another new set seems to go against the idea of Shuri being the new Black Panther, as she's shown next to someone else in the Black Panther suit. It's possible that multiple characters will try on the suit, or this could possibly be T'Challa before his death. The description of the set reads, "Shuri tries out her super powerful power gloves as Black Panther glides on his hoverboard".

Although the number of sets showing Shuri as the Black Panther seems to indicate that it is indeed her who takes up the mantle, which also happens in the comics, it's worth noting that several Lego sets go completely off-canon and don't always represent the films as accurately as they should, so it's possible that Lego is just having some fun with the speculation.
