In Lost Ark, the many systems of collectibles available to players are no joke, and by far the largest one in this game is that of the Mokoko seeds. With over one thousand of these little guys to collect for a variety of rewards, you’ll be hunting them down for quite some time.
In this article, we’ll take a look at the locations of the Mokoko Seeds in the first North Vern dungeon, Gorgon’s Nest. Even though this dungeon is not part of the game’s main story (which means you’ll have to go out of your way to do this one), it still gives decent tier one rewards, some Providence Stones to help out with your Rapports, and of course, credit toward the completion of your North Vern Adventurer’s Tome.
Mokoko Seed 1
The first seed in Gorgon’s Nest is pretty much right by the entrance to the dungeon. It’s located by a pile of broken cannons, specifically next to the wheel closest to the path. It’s in the shade of trees as well, so it might be a little hard to see.
Mokoko Seed 2
The next three Mokoko seeds are found in an off-map zone. To access this area, simply walk under the big tree root (though it looks like you’re walking through it) next to the rocky cliffside. It will phase out of existence while you’re under it so you can clearly see the ground beneath you.
Once you make it through, you’ll find the second seed sitting right in front of you and once again in the shade. It’s quite close to a jump-point, so take caution here and don’t just press “g” (which would be understandable if you’ve been spamming that key to get through the long main story). Instead, play it safe and manually click the seed so you don’t accidentally leap across!
That said, even if you do miss it, you’re coming back that way after picking up the next two seeds anyway, so don’t worry.
Mokoko Seed 3
Once you’ve picked up the second Mokoko seed, jump across the gap (going further off-map), and the third Mokoko seed is (not-so-surprisingly) in the shade, a few steps up from where you land. Many trolls will ambush you here, though, so if they don’t spawn immediately after you jump across, be aware that they may drop down as you’re picking up the third seed, if not shortly before or after you do so.
Mokoko Seed 4
For the fourth Mokoko seed, keep going further off-map until you reach the end of the paved path. Then, make your way down to the edge of the cliff (where the large tree root is), and the seed is right there (yes, it’s in the shade again, thanks for asking). Bear in mind here that in order to jump back from where you came, you’ll have to kill some more trolls that spawn, so don’t panic if you don’t see the “jump here” indicator immediately upon returning.
Mokoko Seeds 5 And 6
To find Mokoko seeds five and six, you’ve got to go off-map again. The hidden entrance isn’t really all that hidden, since it’s marked by your typical “jump here” marker, and is made even less hidden by the obvious gap in the cliffside. It’s roughly smack-dab in the middle of the strip where you get barraged, leaving you with big red circles to avoid, so be careful of them when jumping over and back.
Once you’ve made it across, keep walking to the heavily shaded space (shocker, right?), and you’ll find both seeds there. One is conveniently located directly in front of the stone altar (at least it looks like an altar), and the other is on the left side of the area.
Mokoko Seed 7
The seventh seed is found in the third-to-last strip of land in the dungeon. It’s near the head of the (extremely shallow) running stream of water, where you'll find dead bodies and blood-streaked rocks. There is also a special monster in this part of the dungeon, denoted with that gray/silver horned head icon on the map.
Mokoko Seed 8
The final Mokoko seed is located on the second-to-last strip of land, just before the final boss area. While it’s not right on top of the “jump here” indicator, it’s close enough to warrant caution, so be sure to pick this one up before jumping down to fight the Gorgon. If you accidentally jump down to the boss area before picking this seed up, you can’t get back up to it in your current run. So get ready to do the dungeon again (which might not be such a bad thing, considering you need to complete both normal and hard difficulties for the Adventurer’s Tome).
