Spawn releases today in Early Access for anyone with the Kombat Pack 1 DLC on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Switch versions of Mortal Kombat 11.
The hellish punisher is joining the likes of Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Terminator, Sindel and Joker, and takes pride of place as part of the roster expansion given to players in this first wave of downloadable content.
The character, a great fighter at mid-range (as you can see in our Spawn hands-on preview) also starts off both of his finishing moves from mid-range, too.
If you need a bit of a reminder, that means you need to stand about two backdashes away from your opponent before you start entering the inputs.
Spawn joins Mortal Kombat 11 today as part of the early access period for Kombat Pack owners, and will be available to anyone else playing the game on March 24.
MK11 Spawn Fatalities
Here's how to perform Spawn's fatalities.
You will be able to perform the second move if you input the directions correctly, even if it hasn't been unlocked.
- Rest in Pieces (Mid) – Forward, Back, Down, Down [X PlayStation / A Xbox / 3]
- Unchained (Mid) – Forward, Back, Forward, [Circle PlayStation / B Xbox / 4]
You can see both Fatalities in action in the video above – be warned, they're pretty violent!

MK11 Spawn Brutalities
Update – We've now got all MK11 Spawn Brutality inputs. Follow the link above for a guide to show how to perform all three and the Krushing blows.
At the time of writing, I've only been able to unearth one of Spawn's unique Brutalities (he has the uppercut one – don't block in final round, end with an uppercut – that every character has by default).
To use Spawn's seemingly first Brutality, you simply need to end the round with a Forward+Throw input, then hit Forward three times during the animation.
Spawn will run his sword through the back of his enemy's head and decapitate them in the process.
Lovely.
