Mortal Kombat 1 stress test start time, dates, content and how to get a kode

If you can’t wait for the official release of Mortal Kombat 1 in September and are eager to dive into the action before launch, then this weekend’s online “stress test” is the perfect opportunity to play the game early. The Mortal Kombat 1 stress test has a June 23 release date and a 4pm BST UK start time. It ends just a few days later on June 26. What sets the stress test apart from the upcoming gameplay beta is that you don’t need a pre-order to gain access. Instead, you can apply for a kode by visiting the Mortal Kombat 1 website and signing up for a Warner Games account.

The only downside is that participants for the stress test will be chosen at random, so there’s no guarantee you’ll be selected.

NetherRealm will email successful applicants ahead of the stress test, so check your email – including spam folder – to see if you’ve been picked.

The stress test will only be available to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S users, although you don’t need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to participate.

As part of the stress test, players will be able to sample 1-v-1 online multiplayer, as well as the Klassic Towers mode for single-players.

The stress test will also give fans the opportunity to try out Mortal Kombat 1’s new Kameo feature.

NetherRealm explains more: “Kameo Fighters are a unique roster of partner characters to assist during matches, creating expanded gameplay possibilities for players. These characters are chosen separately from the main roster of fighters.”

Mortal Kombat 1 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC from September 19.

However, fans who purchase the Premium or Kollector’s Edition will be able to start playing on September 14.

All pre-order customers will also be able to access the closed beta, which takes place in August.
