Nintendo Direct Mini has fans expecting Persona ports and NieR: Automata

The rumours have been proven true, as Nintendo announces one of its smaller partner showcases instead of a full-fledged Nintendo Direct.

Fans have been waiting all month for a new Nintendo Direct, only to last week be given one dedicated solely to Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

There were hopes that a more general one would follow soon after and it will, but it will be another of Nintendo’s partner showcases, which means only third party games will be featured.

Nintendo hasn’t specified, or even hinted at, which games will make an appearance. All we know is that it will air at 2pm BST on Tuesday, June 28.

Judging by early responses online, some fans are crossing their fingers for a new Bayonetta 3 trailer, as that game still lacks a release date and hasn’t had a new trailer since last September.

However, while Bayonetta 3 is being developed by a third party studio (PlatinumGames), Nintendo is publishing it, which means nobody can quite agree on whether it’s considered a third party or first party release.

Another potential game is Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope, which was announced at E3 2021 and has gone dark ever since. However, it’s also possible that it’s being saved for whenever Ubisoft holds one of its own showcases.

He also clarified that, whatever the game is, it came out between 2017 and 2018 ‘depending on the version’. It’s worth noting that NieR:Automata released in 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PC, with the Become As Gods edition for Xbox coming out in 2018.

There is some speculation that we could see a trailer for the Super Mario movie, but Nintendo’s announcement specifically says the Direct will consist of ‘roughly 25 minutes of info on upcoming third party Nintendo Switch games.’

2017-2018, salió entre ese tiempo dependiendo de la versión 😉
