A YouTube survey might be hinting at DLC for Mario Party Superstars.
If there's any Nintendo game out there that is perfect for DLC, it's Mario Party Superstars. New boards, new characters, and new game modes would all make great downloadable content and keep up the longevity of the game. Although Superstars is yet to receive any DLC, it looks like that might be changing soon.
As pointed out by VideoPanda7713 on the Mario Party subreddit, a YouTube survey appears to be hinting that DLC for Superstars might be on the way. Before watching a video, VideoPanda7713 was met with a survey, which asked, "Next time you buy a downloadable content pack, which are you more likely to buy?" before listing Hot Wheels Unleashed, Mario Kart 8 DLC, ACNH: Happy Home Paradise, and Mario Party Superstars as options.
What's interesting about this is that Mario Party Superstars is the only game on that list that doesn't currently have any DLC. Hot Wheels Unleashed has already seen an expansion, Mario Kart 8 has had DLC for years and will be getting more in the future, and Happy Home Paradise is Animal Crossing New Horizon's only piece of DLC.
This seems to indicate that Mario Party Superstars has some DLC in the works, or that Nintendo is trying to see if there's any interest in adding more content to the game. It could just be a mistake on the part of Nintendo or YouTube, but that seems unlikely considering that the rest of the games listed there all have DLC.
Members of the Mario Party subreddit are speculating that it could be a slip-up from YouTube and that Mario Party Superstars DLC was planned to have been released by now but has been pushed back for some reason, with YouTube not updating the survey in time. Others think that it could just be a false option on the survey to make sure that whoever is reading it is actually paying attention and giving correct answers, although since this survey is opinion based, that seems unlikely.
