Sony has continued one of its best PlayStation Plus free game offers for its subscribers to enjoy in December 2021.
As many fans will already know, the tech giant has been celebrating the fifth anniversary of the launch of the PlayStation VR.
To mark the occasion, Sony made it possible last month to download three top PSVR experiences on PS4 and PS5.
But something that gamers might not have known is that this deal doesn’t end next week but continues until January 2022.
This means you still have plenty of time to download and play The Persistence, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, and Until You Fall.
Description for each game can be found below, courtesy of Sony:
The Persistence
The Persistence challenges you to survive aboard a doomed deep space colony starship in the year 2521. Stranded, malfunctioning and caught in the inexorable pull of a black hole, “The Persistence” is overrun with a crew mutated into horrific & murderous aberrations. It’s down to you, a clone of security officer Zimri Eder, to make your way deeper in the decks of The Persistence to repair the systems and prevent the ship from being torn apart.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Standard Edition
Face all the horrors that the living and the dead can offer in this new VR adventure in The Walking Dead universe. Travel through the ruins of walker infested New Orleans as you fight, sneak, scavenge, and survive each day unravelling a city-wide mystery within the iconic quarters.
Until You Fall
Fantasy and synthwave collide in this physically active PS VR sword fighting game. Grow stronger as you battle through an awesome neon environment and strike down magic-infused monstrosities in this hack-and-slash roguelite. Move your arms and body to the synthwave soundtrack as you attack, block, cast spells, and dodge your way deeper into the heart of a neon fantasy world filled with magic-infused monsters.
However, it should be noted that the same deal is not in place for the other games, meaning you only have until January 8 to claim Knockout City, First Class Trouble, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.
These will be replaced on the same day by the new collection of free games announced by Sony earlier this week.
This includes Lego DC Super-Villains and Mortal Shell, with Godfall: Challenger Edition offering something a little different to the others.
Sony revealed a massive twist when it comes to the version of Godfall you can download and play starting next week.
The one crucial thing to note regarding Godfall: Challenger Edition – it doesn’t contain the same content as the base game.
Challenger Edition skips the main story, which includes a lot of character levelling, and drops players into the endgame experience.
A message from Godfall team provides more background on the changes, explaining: “Godfall: Challenger Edition allows new players to experience the game’s trio of endgame modes, minus the story content of the base game and Fire & Darkness expansions, and grants existing players new exciting features and rewards to enjoy.
“All players have the option to immediately jump to Player Level 50, which comes with a plethora of skill points and a spread of deadly weapons for your Valorplates.”
