Sony has revealed a bunch of new gameplay footage and information for Gran Turismo 7, including new modes and different activities to take part in during your time with the game. This gameplay was revealed during the publisher's latest State of Play showcase which focused on the title.
To begin, some new modes were explained by developer Polyphony Digital. These modes are accessible via the game's new world map, and include locations such as a café and a museum where players can learn about a certain car's design, or the history of a certain manufacturer.
Another interesting location included on the World Map is the Used Car Dealership, a place where players can purchase cars to add to their collection for much cheaper than if bought new. This dealership will apparently be updated daily and will shift dependent on demand, much like how a marketplace would function in real life.
Gran Turismo 7 also has a mode for all the photography lovers out there. Scapes mode will allow players to pick their favorite cars and place them in different locations across the globe, letting them snap pictures of cars that would otherwise be unfathomable for people to do in real life. With ray-tracing included, it'll be pretty easy to snap some great pics of your favorite cars.
Polyphony Digital also revealed that Gran Turismo 7 will have 34 different locations as well as 90 different layouts, with a mixture of real-life and fantasy circuits for players to race on. Additionally, players will also get to experience tracks from previous Gran Turismo games remade for Gran Turismo 7.
Alongside all of these new and exciting modes are features very familiar to previous Gran Turismo fans. These include a custom race mode which will allow players to create their own races, license test to practice and master tricky driving techniques, mission races which will have players tune their cars for specific objectives.
Those wanting to play with a friend will also have the means to do so, with plenty of multiplayer options available. In addition to standard online racing, Gran Turismo 7 will also include split-screen co-op to play with your friends in the same room. The game will also include lobbies and meeting places for your you and your friends to chat online.
Gran Turismo 7 will launch on March 4 later this year exclusively on PlayStation consoles.
